FRONT END DEVELOPER

The Nest – a boutique digital agency based in Surry Hills – is looking for a full time FRONT END DEVELOPER with PHP and WordPress implementation skills to join the team.
The Nest provides web, social media and mobile services to the arts and creative industries. We work with organisations such as Sydney Festival, Art Gallery Of New South Wales, Sydney Writers Festival, Tropfest, Powerhouse Museum, and many more – delivering web and mobile sites, video content, digital strategy and app development for smartphones and tablets.
The role would be a varied mix of front end and back end PHP integration. Working across a variety of projects you would report to the Technical Lead but also be expected to be able to work independently.
You should be able to demonstrate proven proficiency in:
- Cross browser compliant Front End mark up
- HTML5 & CSS3
- Javascript, JQuery
- WordPress or PHP experience
Experience with mobile sites, MySQL DB, SVN and EDM mark ups would also be beneficial.
We are looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to identify and communicate issues and problems effectively. You should also be a creative thinker, autonomous & self-driven and should enjoy managing your own projects with minimal supervision. Pride in your work and clean code is a must.
