Designed and produced by The Nest, The Go Play iPhone app is a school holiday calendar featuring art, culture, sport and recreational activities for kids of all ages. It brings together in one convenient location a wide range of affordable and free NSW Government school holiday activities and ideas. Go Play lists school holiday activities all over the state, with most events in Sydney and surrounds.
The app features multi-layered search components and location aware indexing – allowing users to find events close to where they are. Users can search by age, type of activity or date and find family-friendly information about cafes, baby change tables, disabled and pram access.
You can save a schedule of your favourite activities, and share them with friends on Facebook or Twitter, and the app also alerts you when new activities are added.
Go Play is an initiative of Communities NSW. The iPhone app was developed by the Powerhouse Museum with The Nest, and was funded by the Apps4NSW initiative.
