In March 2010, THE NEST launched a new site for Grammy nominees Goldfrapp, a social competition site designed to raise awareness of their new album ‘Head First’. THE NEST previously worked with the band from 2003 – 2007, acting as their defacto digital agency for the period and delivering both the ‘Black Cherry’ and ‘Supernature’ sites – the former winning the 2003 MTV Europe Web Award.

In reconnecting with the band in 2o10, THE NEST conceived of a viral competition where fans were asked to put their own ‘heads first’ – uploading user-generated photos, with their faces replaced by the new album artwork (a cloud-drenched head shot of Alison Goldfrapp). The competition ran from March until June 2010, with the winners receiving a framed copy of their submission, personally signed by the band.
