The Nest has delivered the new web design for this year’s Sydney Writers Festival, and has also designed and produced its inaugural iPhone app.

From 16-22 May 2011, the Sydney Writers Festival will bring together over 400 Australian and international participants, including authors of the very best contemporary fiction and cutting edge nonfiction, leading public intellectuals, scientists and journalists. The program of over 300 events – more than half of which are free – includes talks, conversations, debates, readings, workshops and performances, taking place in scores of venues across Sydney, from the Festival hub at Walsh Bay to the Blue Mountains.

The new web site design harnesses the 2011 creative concept and colour scheme, and brings a dynamic new look to the festival’s online presence. View the site at www.swf.org.au.

The Sydney Writers’ Festival app includes a full searchable listing of events and participants; options to browse by date and time, event type, genre, writer and venue or search by keyword; ‘Favourite’ events to create your own personal schedule; view all of the Venue details, maps and transport info; share events with friends & colleagues on Facebook and Twitter and catch up with the latest Festival news via the in-app Festival Twitter feed.
