Stuart Buchanan from The Nest will be presenting two sessions at this year’s Australia Council Marketing Summit, taking place at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia, Perth on Monday 29 & Tuesday 30 August. Titled ‘Finders Keepers’, the Australia Council’s 2011 Marketing Summit, brings together Australia’s arts marketers for two days of creative exchange and insights on contemporary arts marketing, and covers issues around media, branding, research, digital marketing and audience engagement.
The Nest will present two sessions on Tuesday 30:
2:00pm – 3:00pm: Presentation – What’s next? Trendspotting in the digital world
From dramatic changes in mobile technology, to the new wave of social platforms and gadgets, this session guides us through the emerging changes in the digital world. Covering apps and m-sites, iPad publishing, digital storytelling, social preferencing, gamification and augmented reality, find out about the trends that will affect the way we work and the way we communicate with our audiences.

3:05pm – 4:05pm: Breakout Session – A practical guide to digital strategy
You’re connected on Facebook, you’re tweeting with gusto and you’re pretty sure that your website is up-to-date. So why isn’t it working? This session introduces key concepts and practical frameworks to help you devise your own digital strategy – leveraging a mix of social media, mobile platforms, audience engagement and content development with easy-to-use tools for monitoring and analysis. Aimed at those who already have a foothold in the digital environment, this session will set you on your way to a more strategic and ultimately more effective approach.
